Susan Sasso

Susan Sasso is the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Dean of Students at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to moving to the Vice President's office she was the director of Student Publications at OU where she was responsible for OU's award-winning newspaper and yearbook. A graduate of OU, Susan has been advising OU students for nearly 30+ years and considers working with university students the greatest fringe benefit of working for the University. She is an active member of the OU and Norman communities and has served on numerous organizations and boards. Susan was a member of the Leadership Norman Class of 1991 and chaired the program in 1992. She has been recognized as the Norman Chamber of Commerce's Volunteer of the Year, the OU Managerial Staff Council's Oustanding Employee and nationally as the College Media Advisers' Distinguished Business Adviser. She has served in leadership roles in regional and national professional organizations. Susan has been recognized as the Cleveland County 4-H Leader of thte Year and received statewide recognition as the 4-H Partner in 4-H. In 2004 she was named OU's Outstanding Administrator by the University of Oklahoma Student Association and was the 2007 recipient of the Walter Neustadt Award for outstanding service to University of Oklahoma students. Susan lives in Norman with Abe, her husband of 32 years. They have two children, Anne and Brian.
